Bainville High School senior Trevor Robertus put together an impressive football season for the Bulldogs this fall even though it had a heart-breaking ending for him. His play during the season earned him All-State honors in the six-man ranks. ā€œItā€™s my favorite sport,ā€ Robertus said of football. He has played the sport for six years. Every four years, an American president is elected and sworn in on Inauguration Day. What was once a brief ceremony requiring the president to take the oath of office has now turned into a daylong celebration, complete with speeches, parades and balls. Much of the activity, including the inaugural ceremony, takes place on Capitol grounds. Thomas Jefferson, in fact, was the first to have his inauguration ceremony at the Capitol and the only president to walk to and from it. Here are some other Inauguration Day firsts:
