The Froid Town Council held its regular monthly meeting Jan. 20. The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office responded to 74 calls from Jan. 13-20. The calls included: Jan. 13 Deputy assisted Fort Peck Tribes Department of Law and Justice at the Indian Health Services clinic in Poplar with a report of verbal harassment. Deputies assisted five FPTDLJ officers and Montana Highway Patrol with a high speed pursuit that started in Poplar at about 4:53 p.m.

Montana State - Bozeman Montana State University of Bozeman has announced its undergraduate honor rolls for fall semester 2024. There are two MSU honor roll lists: the president’s and dean’s lists. Valentine’s Day themed events are being planned in Poplar and Culbertson on Feb. 9 and Jan. 25 respectively. First up, a “Sweet As Candy” Valentine’s Day craft bazaar will be hosted at the old armory building on Broadway Ave. in Culbertson Jan. 25. The bazaar will feature local vendors selling hand crafted, holiday themed gifts. The event will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. A ladies’
