Runners Place At Poplar Invitational

The Culbertson/Bainville cross-country team competed at the Poplar Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 2. In the girls’ division, freshman Rebekah Ellerkamp finished 17th with a time of 26:13.58. Brockton’s girls took fourth in the team standings with 97 points. Scobey earned first with 32 points. Brockton’s Tamryn Bauer placed 23rd at 26:52.28. Taylor Cummins took 36th at 31:18.04.

Culbertson dropped a fourset volleyball match in Scobey on Saturday, Sept. 2. Scobey won the league match by a 15-25, 25-14, 25-14, 25-17 final. Culbertson’s Destiny Thompson accounted for an excellent match with 17 kills, four aces, five blocks, an assist and 13 digs. Scoring three kills each were Mariana Burciaga, Jazzmin Fugere and Leandra Perkins. Ivy Colvin added two kills.
