Culbertson fell behind by an 8-5 margin in the first quarter, but the scoring of Makena Hauge and Destiny Thompson led the Cowgirls to 11 points in the second period to trail 20-16 at the half. Froid native Sydney Dethman led Fresno State with eight rebounds in the women’s basketball team’s 62-60 loss against Portland State on Thursday, Dec. 1.
