Lustre Enjoys Solid Turnout For Track Campaign
Lustre Christian’s track program features 22 athletes including 14 boys and eight girls this season.
“It’s the biggest team that I’ve had,” Lynn Unrau, who has coached the Lions for 10 years, said.

Culbertson Sees Large Turnout For Track This Spring
An exceptional turnout has Culbertson High School athletes looking forward to the upcoming track season with hopes for numerous state qualifiers.
Coach Dave Solem said the 37 member squad including 22 boys is the most during his 19 years coaching track in Culbertson.

Frazer Looks For Successful Season
After Frazer’s boys’ track team placed third in the team standings at last year’s district meet, the Bearcubs are looking forward to having another solid track campaign.
There were eight athletes out for the sport as of last week.
“Some others are thinking about it,” Frazer Coach Cody Larson said. “We have some thinkers.”
The team consists of five boys and three girls.
Red Hawks Aims For Solid Golf Season
The Froid/Lake golf program features eight players this season including six boys.
Coaches for the squad are Katelyn Dahlberg and Patrick Kjelshus.
Boys on the squad include Sol Grainger, Milo Stangeland, Trent Williams, Patton Bighorn, Kash Ator and Ethan Roeder.
Girls playing are Addison Elvaas and Makaylee Elvsaas.
“I hope we are improved from over last year,” Dahlberg said.
Mary Reuter
Mary Alice (Marsh) Reuter, 74, died March 22, 2023 at Sheridan Memorial Hospital in Plentywood.
She was born Oct. 10, 1948, and was the fourth of five daughters born to Rupert and Alice Marsh. She attended school in Plentywood, graduating in 1967.
She began dating George Hunter in high school and they had a daughter, Carrie, in 1968. Together, they raised her until his death in 1970. In 1972, she married Norman Andersen. They had a son, Lee, in 1973. They divorced in 1979. In 1983, she married Richard Reuter and son Chad was born. They made their home in Medicine Lake.
If they weren’t at home tending to their gardens, they could be found at L & L Casino in Plentywood. They were married until Richard’s death in 2011. In 2020, she was reunited with her daughter, Shoni, who had been adopted out at birth. This was a huge blessing for Mary and she was grateful for the opportunity to get to know her daughter.
She also was able to travel to Alaska in 2021 to spend time with all of Shoni’s family and enjoyed getting to know them. For the past two years, Mary and Haley, Shoni’s youngest daughter, video chatted for hours together.
She was known for her cooking and spent many years working in kitchens around Sheridan and Roosevelt counties. She enjoyed gardening and planted many beautiful flowers every year. She was employed at Herman Oil for many years.
She is survived by her children, Carrie Louie of Kuna, Idaho, Shoni Evans of Nome, Alaska, Lee Andersen of Williston, N.D., and Chad Reuter of Medicine Lake; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy Brandenberger, Fran Zelenka and Jan Wiedebush; and her closest and dearest friend, Dennis Dawson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; and sister, Darlene Severson.
A celebration of life was held Wednesday, March 29, at 3 p.m. at the Medicine Lake Fire Hall.
