Progress Being Made With Construction
This week, the Montana Department of Transportation and Knife River crews will be excavating and placing cement-treated base on the surface of U.S. Highway 2 through Culbertson.
CTB is a mixture of soil, gravel and cement that creates a strong, frost-resistant base for concrete or asphalt pavement.
Crews will also be working on underground storm drainage installation starting on the east
Logan Earns Honors In Froid
Froid High School senior Elise Logan has been busy achieving honors in many activities during her time at the school.
She recently returned from the BPA National Conference held in Anaheim, Calif. At the state level, Logan excelled in several BPA categories including health administration procedures and integrated office applications.

Culbertson Council Appoints Interim Mayor
The Culbertson Town Council held their regular meeting May 8. There were eight people in the audience, mainly Culbertson Women’s Club members in support of the bathhouse project, which remains stalled. Club members said cost estimates continue to outrun fundraising efforts and said the project needs support to gain traction.

Becker, Petersen Elected To Culbertson School Board
Culbertson residents voted two new school board members into office during an election on Tuesday, May 2.
Wendy Becker received 201 votes and Christopher Petersen received 149 votes to earn trustee positions. Shadd Cullinan took third with 116 votes.
