Culbertson’s girls’ basketball squad couldn’t quite recover from a poor start and lost to MonDak, 40-31, at home on Saturday, Jan. 29. Bulldogs Come Up Short To Plentywood


By Bill Vander Weele The Bainville Bulldogs were defeated by a 62-49 final against Plentywood in boys’ basketball action on Thursday, Jan. 27. Plentywood led 18-9 after the first quarter as Reese Wirtz scored 12 of the squad’s points. The Wildcats held a 36-24 half-time advantage. Scoring for Bainville in the period were Jesse Strickland with nine and Ayden Knudsen with six points.

Culbertson Falls To Plentywood


By Bill Vander Weele Culbertson dropped both of its basketball contests at Plentywood on Friday, Jan. 28. In the girls’ game, Plentywood earned a 71-31 victory. After leading by only a 10-6 margin at the end of the first quarter, Plentywood increased the gap to 32-15 in the second period. The Wildcats outscored Culbertson 16-12 in the third quarter and 23-4 in the final period.
