Frederick, Berger Place At State For Poplar


Poplar sophomore wrestlers Jase Frederick and Jacob Berger both placed again, this time at the State All-Class Wrestling Meet at the Metra in Billings Friday and Saturday, Feb. 14-15. Frederick took fourth in the 113-pound weight class and Berger placed fourth at 205. Also qualifying for the state meet from Poplar were: Mitchell Youngman, 132; Logan Boadle, 152; and Will Turcotte, 170.

Lady Wolves, Lady Indians Face District Tournament Play-in


Finishing the regular season schedule fifth place in District 2B, the Lady Wolves and fourth-place Lady Indians will play a loser-out playin game Thursday, Feb. 20, to earn the No. 4 seed at the District 2B tournament in Malta. Five Circle Wrestlers Place At State


By Darla Downs Krayle Stormer defeated Miguel Ramos of Fairfield, 8-6, to take first place in the 113-pound weight class. Cole Becker, wrestling at 145, defeated Dallen Hoover, of Whitehall, 6-5, to take first place. At 138, Canyon Casterline took third; Tugg Taylor, at 120, took fourth; and Bryson Bartelson, 120, took sixth.
