The Froid/Lake Red Hawks got their offensive attack going late in the first quarter and then exploded for a key 50-19 Class C football victory in Savage on Saturday night, Sept. 12. The Red Hawks trailed 13-0 and were being outplayed until Ashdyn Hobbs caught a fourth-down pass from Mason Dethman and broke loose from two tacklers to score on a 41-yard play. Bainville Drops Contest Against Richey-Lambert Team


After a promising start, Bainville’s football squad was outscored by the Richey/ Lambert Fusion, 66-18, on Saturday afternoon. The Bulldogs opened the six-man football game by marching 70 yards for a touchdown. Strong runs by Jesse Strickland, Braeden Romo and Britten VanGorder moved the ball midfield during the drive. Runners Earn Honors At Two Meets


The Culbertson/Bainville Cowgirls topped the competition at the Spartain Invitational cross-country meet in Scobey Thursday, Sept. 10. The Cowgirls earned first place with 16 points. Poplar took second with 26 and Scobey placed third with 28 points. Kayli Olson led Culbertson/ Bainville with a time of 24:32.58 for fourth-place honors. Sam Palmer finished fifth at 24:40.94.
