Bainville’s boys’ basketball team enjoyed a good start and defeated Froid/Lake, 6742, on Saturday, Jan. 10. The Bulldogs jumped out to a 22-5 lead in the opening quarter. Cowgirls Rally To Beat Thunder

The Culbertson Cowgirls’ hard-working attitude paid off in the end as Culbertson came back for a 41-38 home win over MonDak on Friday, Jan. 9. The Cowgirls trailed early in the game including by a 12-4 margin at the end of the opening quarter and a 17-13 score at the half. Brockton Sweeps Games Against Culbertson

The Brockton Warriors kept winning with home victories over Culbertson on Saturday, Jan. 10. In the boys’ contest, the Warriors won by a 73-35 final. Brockton led 18-8 at the end of the first quarter and held a 35-21 half-time advantage. The Warriors outscored the Cowboys by a 23-7 margin in the fourth period. Culbertson’s streets will soon be sporting a new identity. The city fathers have purchased new, large, bright street signs that have a green background with white lettering. The nine-inch high, 36-inch long metal signs will also sport new brackets. The old signs, which have been in place for many years, had a white background with dark letters.
