The Culbertson/Froid/Bainville speech, drama and debate team had a very eventful divisional tournament in Shepherd on Saturday, Jan. 24. The team dealt with arctic cold, an unexpected evacuation during finals due to a fire and a relocation to Huntley Project High School where their coach and administration used their quick planning and organizational skills to get finals back on track. Roosevelt County commissioners conducted a meeting on Thursday, Jan. 22, with elected officials and department heads to discuss credit card policy and meal purchasing. Commissioners said the goal of the meeting was for everyone to be more careful with spending. The Culbertson School Board met in regular session on Tuesday, Jan. 20. Trustees present were Wendy Becker, vice-chair, Amber Fox, Lisa Steppler and Verlin Steppler.
