Wagon Train Sees Uptick In Participants


The 53rd Culbertson Saddle Club wagon train rolled out Saturday, Sept. 5. Handmade signs for the route to the group’s night camp were spotted on U.S. Highway 16 south of Culbertson at the turnoff to Charlie Creek. Bainville’s Tana Hauso-Berwick told the Community News that participation was up from last year. “We had nine wagons,” said Berwick, “and approximately 115 participants.”

Culbertson/Bainville Take Second In Cross Country


The Culbertson/Bainville cross country team emerged with a second-place showing in the girls’ standings during action in Poplar on Saturday morning, Sept. 5. Culbertson/Bainville finished with a team score of 95 points. Glasgow earned top honors with 53 points. Also in the top six were Poplar at 96, Scobey at 122, Fairview at 153 and Malta at 175. Glasgow's Iris McKean earned top individual
