Bainville’s girls’ basketball team experienced a tough second quarter and lost in Fairview by a 43-35 final on Saturday, Jan. 14. The Bulldogs gained a 9-6 lead in the first quarter as Hailey Berwick put in five points. Fairview responded by outscoring the Bulldogs by a 15-4 margin in the second quarter to take a 21-13 lead. Froid/Lake’s girls’ basketball team struck for 13 points in the fourth quarter to beat the Richey/Lambert Fusion by a 39-28 final on Saturday, Jan. 14. The Red Hawks gained an 8-3 lead in the first quarter as Brooklyn Nordwick scored four points. Froid/Lake held an 18-11 advantage at the half. Ahead 26-21 after three quarters of play, the Red Hawks tallied 13 points in the fourth period.
