After his aggressive twoyear push, U.S. Sen. Jon Tester, D-Mont., has announced that the U.S. Department of Agriculture will begin making more than $1 billion in payments to producers who suffered losses in 2018 and 2019 who have approved applications for the Quality Loss Adjustment Program and for producers who have already received an initial payment through the Wildfire and Hurricane Indemnity

Bainville’s A Night in the Park summer celebration is scheduled for Saturday, June 26. Free family entertainment is planned, including bouncy houses, corn hole games and music by In It to Winn It from 4-7 p.m. Supper will be hosted by Bainville Future Farmers of America alumni at the American Legion Hall from 5-6 p.m. The meal includes tri-tips and costs $10 for adults and $5 for kids under seven.

Pharmacy no longer Preferred by my Part D plan, what do I do? This month I received a number of phone calls from clients in distress as they received a letter from their Part D plan saying their pharmacy is no longer a preferred provider. In the letter it also stated they can go to a preferred pharmacy, the closest of which was 50 miles away in a nearby town. Understandably, they were upset.

Tammy Jo Sievers, 58, of Richland was sentenced for possession of dangerous drugs, meth, in district court on Wednesday, June 16. She received a suspended sentence of four years and was fined $500.
