Roosevelt County Jail Roster

( Publisher’s Note: Each week, the Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office distributes an inmate roster with the names of persons incarcerated at the jail and does not necessarily mean there is a new charge or conviction.) Fort Union To Host Indian Arts Festival

Join staff and volunteers at Fort Union as they celebrate affiliated tribes through traditional American Indian music, dancing and culture Aug. 6-7. This free event will showcase presentations and demonstrations on singing, dancing, traditional crafts and presentations by artists and craftspeople from tribes of the Upper Missouri. Events begin at 10 a.m. CDT. Daily programs are subject to change.

Roosevelt County currently has 16 active COVID cases. There have been 3,374 total cases in the county. County health officials encourage all residents aged 5 and up to be vaccinated and those over 16 should consider getting booster doses. Immunizations are by appointment only. Curtis Alvin Hansen, 76, died July 16, 2022. He was born Aug. 9, 1945, in Williston, N.D., to Alfred Hansen and Margaret (Elvsaas) Hansen. He was raised on the Hansen Hereford Ranch, north of Bainville. He also attended and graduated from Bainville High School. He worked at Haugen’s Inc., Interstate Detroit Diesel, and Red Rock Ford. He was honorably discharged from the Navy, a member

Froid/Lake Volleyball Players Improve Skills In Hawaii

Froid/Lake volleyball standouts Carolyne Christoffersen, Baylee Davidson and Aleah Johnson experienced a trip to Hawaii earlier this month. The journey began when the three girls received an invitation letter from NoKaOi Volleyball. Along with playing volleyball, the girls toured Pearl Harbor. Activities included being on the Wakaki beach and zip lining. The girls played both outdoor and beach volleyball

The Froid Agland Bulls earned the consolation bracket title at the 2022 Billings Expos Invitational baseball tournament during the weekend. Agland stopped the Casper, Wyo., Vikings, 8-2, on Sunday, July 17. After Casper scored a run in the top of the first, the Bulls tallied six runs in the bottom of the first.
