Arnette Rae Borden, 87, of Scobey died Dec. 11, 2024. She was born to George and Florence Rubin of Whitetail on May 14, 1937, where she lived on their family farm. She attended school in both Whitetail and Flaxville. Upon graduating from high school, she attended Eastern Montana College and earned a degree in elementary education. She then returned to Scobey to teach fifth and sixth graders. She loved teaching and always enjoyed running into her students throughout the years. She married Scobey rancher Gerald Wolford in 1964, and the couple made their home on a farm south of Scobey. Their time together was cut short when Gerald died in a vehicle accident in 1966. While working as a legal secretary for the Fosland office, a trusted friend set her up on a blind date. Little did she know that she would meet the love of her life, Vernon Borden, a widower working for the Montana Highway Department. After a brief three-month courtship, they were married in Fort Peck and she welcomed Vern’s two daughters into her family. As a family, they resided in Fort Peck, Wolf Point and Missoula until Vern’s retirement in 1989. At that time, they returned to her beloved community of Scobey. Tragically, Vern died in 1993. She had a deep love for animals, especially cats, and she cherished many beloved pets throughout her life. She was an avid supporter of The Humane Society and World Wildlife Fund. She had countless friends with whom she loved to socialize. She also enjoyed playing darts, painting, singing and solving crossword puzzles. She is survived by her daughters, Chylon Brigham of Phoenix, Ariz., and Chanda Brandt of Peerless; and two grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Eileen Rigsby Eileen Rigsby, 87, of Wolf Point died Saturday, Dec. 28, 2024. A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31, at the Community Bible Church in Wolf Point. Interment was at the Greenwood Cemetery in Wolf Point. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel of Wolf Point has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Jerri Lynn Frislie, 69, died Dec. 23, 2024. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Jan. 2, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Wolf Point. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Wolf Point. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel of Wolf Point has been entrusted with the arrangements.
