The Optimist Club of Wolf Point ghouls are at it again with their “Halloweenie” event scheduled to take place Sunday, Oct. 31, at the Catholic burger building on the corner of Main Street and Third Avenue South. The event kicks off at 3 p.m. and free hot dogs, chips, water and bags of candy will be available for area youth. A donation jar will be on the counter to help buy playground

Man Faces Charge In District Court

Antonio Hernandez is facing the charge of use or possession of property subject to criminal forfeiture. He is scheduled to make his initial appearance in district court in Wolf Point on Dec. 15. If convicted of the charge, Hernandez faces maximum penalties of 10 years in prison, a $5,000 fine or both. After he was arrested on April 5 for obstructing a peace officer during a traffic

Scobey Man Dies In Highway Crash

Dylan Cromwell, 23, of Scobey, was killed in a highway accident near Plainfield, Ind., Oct. 24. The accident occurred at 9:30 a.m. EST on Interstate 70 in Hendricks County. A preliminary investigation suggests that a semi was traveling eastbound when it lost control in a construction zone, jackknifing and crashing through a concrete barrier wall before running head on into Cromwell’s vehicle.
