Wanda Ackerman
Wanda Fern Ackerman, 64, of Frazer died Feb. 10, 2025, at Billings Clinic in Billings.
She was born June 10, 1960, in Poplar to Wilbert Ackerman Sr. and Isabelle Runs Through and was an enrolled member of the Fort Peck Tribes.
She received her schooling at Frazer Public Schools in Frazer.
Her longtime “honey” was Garrett Bigleggins III. She was a homemaker, always taking care of grandchildren. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren play basketball.
She loved to do arts and crafts. She made excellent fry bread, was a fantastic cook and enjoyed picking rocks. She was always finding all sorts of good rocks.
She is survived by her children, Apollo Ackerman, Izzy Ackerman, Ashley Bigleggins, Marquita Bigleggins, Gavin BigLeggins and Wilbert Ackerman; numerous grandchildren; sister, Jewel Fourstar; brothers, Wilbert Ackerman Jr. and Floyd Ackerman; and adopted sister, Neva Spotted Wolf.
She was preceded in death by sisters, Florine Ackerman, Cordelia Ackerman and Annette Ackerman; and brothers, Ray Ackerman, Stanley Ackerman and Douglas Runs Through.
A memorial service was held Friday, Feb. 21, at the Frazer Community Hall with Tyrus Follet officiating.
