Frazer’s girls’ basketball team captured a 49-46 victory over Brockton in Frazer on Friday, Jan. 27. After a 20-20 deadline at the half, the Bearcubs gained a 39-26 lead in the third quarter. Baily Beston scored seven points and Isabelle Even added six points in the period. Frazer then held on for a three-point victory during fourth quarter action. Beston tallied six points in the period.

Poplar’s girls’ basketball team lost to a strong Class C Plentywood squad, 84-43, at home on Friday, Jan. 27. Plentywood took a 22-10 lead in the first quarter and held a 42-13 half-time advantage. Poplar’s top scorers were Braelyn Nordwick with 14 and Cammie Martell with 12 points. Also scoring for the Indians were Rikki Belton with six, Morgen Nordwick with four, Kessie Erickson
