The Lustre Christian Lions earned three first-place showings during the Northeast Montana Invitational held in Wolf Point Tuesday, April 20.

Jasiah Hambira cleared 5-10 for first place in the high jump. The senior had a best of 18-08 for top honors in the long jump.

On the girls’ side, Tiara Whitmus earned first in the discus with a mark of 92-09.

The senior said the discus is one of her favorite events. She placed sixth in the discus during the Wibaux Invitational.

“It depends on the day,” Whitmus said. “Today wasn’t terrible.”

Whitmus earned fourth in the shot put with a mark of 28-06.

Alexa Reddig, a freshman, placed third in the long jump with a mark of 13-02, third in the 100 at 14.67, sixth in the 200 at 32.42 and sixth in the 100-meter hurdles at 21.00 seconds.

Lustre’s girls’ 400-meter relay team consisting of Aubri Holzrichter, Shiarie Birdsbill, Whitmus and Reddig finished sixth at 1:02.96.

Cayden Klatt ran the 800 in 2:29.07 for third place and the 1600 in 5:44.79 for third place.

Braeden Toavs finished fifth in the 400 at 1:04.08.

Hambira finished fifth in the 100 at 12.94 seconds and fifth in the 200 at 25.59 seconds.

Both of Lustre’s boys’ relay teams placed during the meet. The 400-meter relay featuring Sean Uy, Arun Ramnarace, Klatt and Toavs finished third in 53.79 seconds. The 1600-meter relay took fourth with a time of 4:20.60.
