Bainville Council Struggles With Quorum Issues

The Bainville town council has rescheduled its regular monthly meeting for Wednesday, July 21, at 7 p.m.

The council has been having trouble mustering a quorum of council members in recent months. Council member Travis Wills resigned effective July 1, leaving a critical vacancy.

Mayor Dennis Portra told the Community News that recent meeting scheduling issues have come up due to unexpected work emergencies for at least one council member.

Portra stressed that community members interested in filling the council vacancy should call the town office at 406-769-2621.
