Drapeau Selected As Frontier’s Superintendent

Patrick Drapeau has accepted the position as the new superintendent at Frontier School.
Drapeau, who is in his first year as principal at Southside Elementary School, said he wasn’t actively looking for a different position, but he was attracted by Frontier’s job description. He noted Frontier’s emphasis on working together, school family and small classroom sizes.
“Those are some big things that attracted me,” Drapeau said.
It was also a benefit that he was going to be able to stay in the Wolf Point area.
“I’ve made a lot of friends and connections in the Wolf Point area,” he said.
He will start his duties in Frontier on July 1. He noted that he has really enjoyed his time at Frontier.
“I love these people,” Drapeau said of the Southside school community. “It was just a good career opportunity for me.”
For two years, he served as assistant principal for the high school, junior high and alternative school in New Town, N.D. His experience also includes five years at the middle school in Williston, N.D., and a year at Williston State College.
“It’s a great environment,” Drapeau said of Frontier. “It will be a good learning experience for me.”
He will replace Christine Eggar, who announced her retirement in November.
Eggar has served as Frontier’s superintendent since 2007.
