Gas Prices Increase 2.6 Cents
Average gasoline prices in Montana have risen 2.6 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $3.07/g on Monday, Feb. 24,, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 615 stations in Montana. Prices in Montana are 15.5 cents per gallon higher than a month ago and stand 8.8 cents per gallon lower than a year ago. The national average price of diesel has increased 1.6 cents in the last week and stands at $3.648 per gallon.
According to GasBuddy price reports, the cheapest station in Montana was priced at $2.85/g on Sunday, Feb. 23, while the most expensive was $3.59/g, a difference of 74.0 cents per gallon.
The national average price of gasoline has fallen 3.8 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $3.08/g today. The national average is down 4.4 cents per gallon from a month ago and stands 18.2 cents per gallon lower than a year ago, according to GasBuddy data compiled from more than 11 million weekly price reports covering over 150,000 gas stations across the country.
