Commissioners, Interstate Engineering Agree To Contract

The Roosevelt County commissioners agreed to renew their master service agreement with Interstate Engineering during their weekly meeting on Tuesday, April 15.

The agreement covers five years. The current contract expires at the end of May.

“It’s been a good agreement for the last five years,” Commissioner Gordon Oelkers said.

Commissioners explained that the agreement keeps Interstate Engineering on a retainer.

The county appreciates the working relationship with project engineer John Bach.

“It’s nice to have someone local,” Commissioner Robert Toavs said.

Also during the meeting, commissioners approved claims in the amount of $283,021. The claims include $106,408 from the bridge fund to complete the slab project on Road 2031.

Amber Anderson was hired as a substitute cook for the Bainville Senior Center.

Oelkers said the Brockton lagoon work has started and monthly water tests continue to be performed.
