Wolves Feature New Track Coaches

Wolf Point opens the track season with a completely new high school coaching staff.
Marques White Horse is the program’s new head coach. Assistants include Bethany Legare in sprints, Scott Montgomery in throwing events, Wyatt Miller for distance runs and volunteer coach Dave Allen.
White Horse has coached in Wolf Point’s junior high program for the past five years.
“I know a lot of them are great athletes,” White Horse said of the program. “It’s exciting.”
His goal is to qualify as many athletes for state as possible.
The squad’s turnout features about 30 total athletes including about 20 girls.
Adalynn Smith, a freshman, has state meet experience after qualifying for the Class B meet in the long jump last season.
Kashlyn Speak Thunder, a junior, also has state experience in jumps.
Other girls with high school experience include Navy Weeks, Harper Weeks, Teagan Williams, Marley Moran and Amya Martinez.
Tavian Bell returns on the boys’ side after having a solid season in sprints last year.
Other boys back include Da’Shaun Jackson, Dustin Oleyte and Reilly Rees.
