Area Players Receive Collegiate Honors

Former Froid/Lake standout Sydney Dethman has been voted to the Frontier Conference’s All-Conference women’s basketball team.

The senior was also selected the Frontier Conference Newcomer of the Year.

She averaged 16.1 points and 5.7 rebounds this season. She ranked second in the conference for points per game, fourth in field goal percentage and ninth in free throw shooting percentage.

Rocky lost to St. Francis, Ill., by an 89-79 final in the first round of the NAIA national tournament on Friday, March 14.

Dethman finished with 19 points against St. Francis.

Scobey’s Gracee Lekvold was selected the league’s defensive player of the year and a second team All-Conference pick. Paige Wasson, a freshman from Whitewater, also earned second team honors and was voted Freshman of the Year.
