Council Approves Sketch Plans

The Culbertson Town Council held its regular meeting April 7. The full council was in attendance.

Site sketch plans were approved for a fence extension, a new shed and a replacement fence.

An ordinance to increase the nuisance fee for unkempt lots and other issues to $100 received a second reading and passed.

The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office report included 57 calls, zero arrests and 30 citations.

The proposed “chicken ordinance” allowing for a limited number of hens in town was discussed. The council agreed to table the matter while possible ordinance language is reviewed.

Meeting minutes were approved for the regular meeting March 10 and a special meetings March 20.

The next regular council meeting is set for May 12.
