Azure Scheduled To Defend Unbeaten MMA Record

Undefeated mixed martial arts fighter Hunter Azure is scheduled to defend his 8-0-0 MMA professional record in a UFC Event Wednesday, May 13.

The featherweight bout at UFC Fight Night in Jacksonville, Fla., will be the second career Ultimate Fighting Championship fight for 2010 Poplar High School graduate.

Azure will face Brian Kelleher, 20-10-0.

Azure had been scheduled to fight Umar Nurmagomedov in a bantamweight bout at UFC 249, also in Jacksonville, Fla., on April 18. That event was postponed due to Coronavirus.

Azure, 28, was a state champion wrestler for PHS. He began wrestling at an early age with the AAU-affiliated Poplar Wrestling Club.
