GNDC, Missouri River Country Tourism Sponsor Local Challenge
Great Northern Development Corporation has partnered with Missouri River Country Tourism on a “Local Challenge” to encourage northeast Montana residents to support local businesses while practicing social distancing during the COVID-19 pandemic. The goal of the GNDC Local Challenge was to also encourage supporting small businesses.
The deadline to enter is June 1.
As part of the challenge, participants could post a photo to Facebook to show how they supported local small businesses and then tag three friends to do the same. Participants were to use the verbiage “I support (name of business)” and the hashtag #GNDCLocalChallenge.
GNDC Bingo encouraged everyone to safely support local businesses at a distance in a new and creative way.
Participants who complete a bingo on the 5×5 card become a “Local Champion” and could enter to win one of three “staycation prize packs” featuring event tickets, gift cards to local establishments and a staycation in the six-county region (Daniels, Garfield, McCone, Roosevelt, Sheridan and Valley).
Every time anyone safely supported local businesses in select categories through May 11, they could check a square off their bingo card. Three prize packages were available. Each package was valued at approximately $250.
Prize package one included four tickets to the Dirty Shame show, $50 gift card to Farver Farms Cookhouse, $20 gift card to the Lefse Shack, $30 gift card to Handran’s and a gift card for a one-night stay at the Wheatland Lodge.
Prize package two included two tickets to A Night on the Missouri and a gift card for one night stay at the Sherman Inn.
Prize package three included four tickets to the Fort Peck Summer Theater, $50 gift card to the Busted Knuckle Brewery and a gift card for one night stay at the Cottonwood Inn & Suites.
Additional gift cards include prizes from Studio U, The Wooden Nickel, CEG Sports, Montana Branded, Inc. Lund Chiropractic, Rose & Marie’s, Circle Country Market, Doc’Z, Sweet Memories, MonDak Marine, Hell Creek Bar and Country Roads Floral.
