Wolf Point Man Arrested In High Speed Chase

Jesse Baker III, 20, of Wolf Point, was taken to Roosevelt Medical Center in Culbertson with injuries following a high speed chase involving officers from the Fort Peck Tribes Department of Law and Justice, the Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office and the Montana Highway Patrol.

According to RCSO Chief Deputy Patrick O’Connor, a Fort Peck Tribal officer called for mutual aid at 3:23 p.m. on July 17. Baker, who was riding a motorcycle, fled the Brockton area at speeds in excess of 100 mph. RCSO and MHP responded and the pursuit ended in a crash north of Culbertson.

A wrecker was called and the motorcycle and an SUV were taken to a nearby shop.

The investigation continues and no charges have been issued as of presstime.
