Catholic communities of all sizes benefit, from the small, rural communities to our larger cities. As the Catholic Foundation of Eastern Montana continues to grow, so too will the amount of grants awarded each year to advance our faith.”

Judy Held, foundation president, added that these grants are made possible by donors who believe in the future of the Catholic Church. Their donations support the Foundation’s ‘Greatest Needs Endowment’ and the ‘Parish Assistance Endowment,’ which was started by a donor in tiny Glentana.

Established in 1999 as an independent, nonprofit organization, the Catholic Foundation of Eastern Montana exists to help families and individuals pass along their Catholic heritage and values for future generations.

“The distributed grant funds stay local, serving the needs of our diocese, just as our generous donors intend,” said Held.

The Catholic Foundation’s board of directors reviewed more applications than could be funded this year. They noted that those organizations that were not awarded funds this year can apply for future grants.
