Three Convicted, Three More Sentenced In District Court Methamphetamine Cases
Wayne Kenneth Sandau Sr. pleaded guilty to criminal distribution of dangerous drugs (methamphetamine), a felony, in Roosevelt County District Court before Judge David Cybulski July 28. The case began with various complaints about an individual selling meth from a motor home in Poplar. After an investigation and executed search warrant, Sandau was arrested and charged. Trevor Oller pleaded guilty to criminal possession of dangerous drugs (meth), felony. May 22. Oller was arrested by Wolf Point Police officer Mehsin Wehbe on a warrant out of Missoula. When Oller was booked into the jail, a detention officer found methamphetamine on him.
Tylor Stafford also pleaded guilty to felony criminal possession of dangerous drugs. Stafford was arrested on April 27 for possessing meth in Brockton.
All of these defendants were represented by Attorney Sally K. Hickok of Circle and prosecuted by Roosevelt County Attorney Austin Knudsen.
Sentencing dates will be set after completion of a pre-sentence investigation reports by the Probation & Parole Office.
Judge Cybulski sentenced Morgan Long, Maria Elena Munoz and Joseph Drayton Cook on July 28.
Long pleaded guilty to two counts of criminal possession of dangerous drugs (meth). On the first count, Cybulski sentenced Long to a three- year deferred sentence. On the other count, he sentenced Long to a five-year suspended sentence.
Munoz was charged with and pleaded guilty to felony criminal possession of dangerous drugs. Munoz was arrested on this charge on Aug. 25 in Poplar. Cybulski sentenced Munoz to five years with two years suspended.
Cook pleaded guilty to criminal distribution of dangerous drugs (meth). Knudsen recommended that Cook be sentenced to 10 years with five suspended. Ali Moulton, Cook’s attorney, argued for a suspended sentence. Cybulski sentenced Cook to 10 years to the Montana Department of Corrections with eight years suspended.
