Bainville Volleyball Team Takes To The Court

Community News Staff Featuring a young team, Bainville's volleyball squad looks to keep improving throughout this year's campaign.

The Bulldogs featured six seniors on last year's program.

“So, we're a really young team,” Bainville coach Callie Clarke said. “We have a lot of work ahead of us. But if we work hard, we can do alright.”

Bainville's roster of 10 players include seniors Gianna Boyd and Matti Woodward.

The Bulldogs also have three juniors, one sophomore and four freshmen.

“We're really building for the future,”Clarke said.

Players with varsity experience include juniors Kaitlyn Adkins at setter, Lakyn Rabbe and Micah Anderson. Rabbe played setter last year but is moving to the hitter position this season.

This marks the second season that Clarke is the Bulldogs' head coach.

“I feel I have a better idea of what we need to work on,” Clarke said. “We were able to work out more this summer.”

She sees Plentywood, Fairview and Froid/Lake to be among the top teams in the conference.

“We have a pretty tough league,” Clarke said. “Every game is against one of the teams to beat.”

The Bulldogs will open their season at home against Savage on Aug. 28 and then host Culbertson on Aug. 29.
