Culbertson Cowgirls Defeat Bainville Bulldogs

The Culbertson Cowgirls defeated Bainville for the second time this season on Thursday. The Cowgirls edged the Bulldogs, 25-20, 25-21, 25-22, in Culbertson.

“Overall we hit much better this game. We did get comfortable and were caught standing at times,” Culbertson coach Tiffany Nielsen said. “We are really going to focus on our movement this week at practice, while continuing to keep swinging at the ball more.”

Sophomore Makena Hauge put together a strong match for the Cowgirls with 14 kills and 22 digs.

Koree Marchwick finished with 20 assists.

Having one block each were McKinsey Justice and Kylie Portra. Justice served three aces.

Matti Woodward led Bainville's attack with seven kills and a block. Brecklyn Pippenger added a block.

Lakyn Rabbe, a freshman, accounted for five aces and 15 digs.

Kaitlyn Adkins had five assists for the Bulldogs.
