Dad’s Bar & Grill received their first dollar certificate from the Wolf Point Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture Sept. 4. Chamber director Jan Bryan presented new owner Matthew Ayers, 33, of Poplar with his certificate.

Ayers told the Northern Plains Independent that he tended bar for former Dad’s owner Dusty Black for years before taking over ownership July of 2020.

“The bar never closed down,” said Ayers. “We just reopened the grill.”

Ayers’ first day with hot food on the menu was July 7. The offerings haven’t changed. Dad’s menu includes burgers, chicken dinners, pork chops, a patty melt and a variety of fries and gems. They also deep fry onion rings, mushrooms, cauliflower and breaded green beans, as well as cheese sticks, southwest munchers and popcorn shrimp.

Dad’s Bar & Grill is located at 216 Main St. in Wolf Point. They are open from 10 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. every day. The grill closes at 9:30 p.m.
