N ews The University of Providence in Great Falls recently released the spring and summer graduates who were honored during a virtual celebration on May 2. Among those receiving degrees was Darla Kae Downs, Wolf Point, master of science degree in accounting. Downs also was awarded the 2019-2020 outstanding achievement by a student in a major. She earned a 4.0 on all of her MSA coursework.

Miles Community College has awarded 125 degrees to their graduating class of 2020. Due to the coronavirus pandemic and social distancing guidelines, MCC was not able to host their annual commencement ceremony on campus, normally held in May. They instead published a Virtual Commencement Ceremony, featuring staff and faculty salutations, guest speakers, and photo slides featuring each graduate.

Area graduates include: Associate of Science Degree: Jonathan James Wright, Circle; Michael Darin Brown, Wolf Point, Honor Graduate.

Associate of Science Registered Nursing: Brooke Green, Glasgow; Elizabeth Albert. Sidney; Jade Rush, Wolf Point, Honor Graduate.

Associate of Applied Science: Kallie Jean Candee, Sidney, equine studies; Jesse Johnson, Sidney, agriculture production; Will South, Bainville, agriculture production.

The Montana State University - Northern’s spring semester Dean’s List contains 373 students. To be included in the Dean’s List, students must carry a minimum of 12 credits and earn a grade point average of 3.25 or better. Among those listed were: Beau Hyatt, Bainville; Morgan Mason, Froid; Marly FireMoon, Germaine Jackson, Griffin Ricker and Adrian Spottedbird, all of Poplar; Kyler Brown, Richey; Olga Sawdey, Scobey; Alex Messer, Sidney; Lee Bach, Levi Brown, Zachary Brown, Trevor Davis, Logan Flynn, Hayoon Rush and Jason Toavs, all of Wolf Point.
