Harold Dupree Sr.
Harold Dean Dupree Sr., 66, of Poplar died Sept. 11, 2020.
He was born and raised in Poplar by his parents, Raymond Dupree Sr. and Beatrice Rosebud Dupree. He was born July 30, 1954.
He loved hunting and fishing, walking and working outside as he was an outdoors person. He was also a “fixerupper” so he liked repairing things. He loved Gospel and pow-wow music and Western movies. He liked to tease and joke around.
He worked as a dishwasher at Denny’s in Billings and was a hard worker. He liked giving family members nicknames. He always prayed for his family and was concerned. He had a kind heart.
He is survived by his only daughter, Becky Sue Bird; sons, Harold D. Dupree Jr. and Murray Dupree; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; mother of his children and lifelong friend, Doris Bird; adopted children, Michael, Andrew and Stephanie Greybull; adopted sister, Lorna Drum; sister, Donna Follet; and brother, Calvin Dupree.
He was preceded in death by sisters, Laverne Dupree Two Hearts and Rita Jones Smith; brothers, Raymond Dupree Jr., Darryl M. Dupree, Earl Jones Jr., Leonard P. Dupree and Wendell R. Dupree; great-granddaughter, Avalena Ann; and grandsons, Charles Follet, Seth Follet and Brady Dupree.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Sept. 22, at the Poplar Cultural Center with interment at the Poplar City Cemetery. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel assisted with the arrangements.
