Linda Shumway
Linda Shumway, 62, died at her home in Wolf Point on Sunday, Sept. 20, 2020.
She was born in Wolf Point Dec. 18, 1957. She was the youngest of seven children of Elden and Delores Lien.
She attended Wolf Point High School. She was a page at the capitol for a time, then returned home to Wolf Point where she bartended and managed the VFW for many years. She also spent some time working at Will’s Office World. She retired after 27 years of service with NEMHS.
She loved her gardens, painting, crafts and sewing, but most of all she loved her children and grandchildren. She was always sending cards and gifts and spending time on the phone and in person doting on each and every one of them. She was always there when one of them needed anything.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Lester and Steve Lien.
She is survived by her mother, Delores Lien; sister, Darlene Twitchell; brothers, Wayne, Jim and Lynn Lien; husband, Robert Shumway; children, Sheridan Shumway, Christina Lute, Angela Stracener and Sam Shumway; and many grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place. Services will be held at a later date. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel was entrusted with the arrangements.
