Cowboys Lose Game In Plentywood
After a strong first half, the Culbertson Cowboys lost at Plentywood, 60-16, in Plentywood on Saturday, Oct. 3.
Plentywood scored the game’s first 14 points, but the Cowboys got on the scoreboard with a two-yard run by quarterback Payton Perkins. Perkins passed to Michael Pederson for the two-point conversion to cut the margin to 14-8.
Culbertson then scored on a five-yard dash by sophomore running back Kobe Nickoloff.
Perkins ran in the twopoint conversion to put the Cowboys ahead by a 16-14 score.
The Wildcats moved back ahead on a 19-yard pass play near the end of the half for a 22-16 advantage.
Plentywood accounted for 32 points in the third quarter to grab a 54-16 lead.
The Wildcats added a touchdown in the fourth quarter for the 60-16 final.
Culbertson returns to action with a home game against Circle on Friday, Oct. 9. Kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m.
