Martha Eagle
Martha Eagle, 65, of Poplar died Oct. 9, 2020, at Billings Hospital.
She was born Aug. 7, 1955, in Poplar to Hazel Dupree-Eagle and Kenneth Dewi Eagle Sr. She grew up in Poplar and was the 10th child out of 15 siblings born to Hazel. She attended Poplar Public Schools and completed her GED. She later went to nursing school.
She resided in Poplar all her life. She had five daughters Crystal Eagle, Dawn FollowsTheRoad, Glenna Eagle- Reddoor, Autumn Reed and Carrie Martin and adopted grandson Staetin Adam Eagle. She helped raise her grandchildren and took care of numerous grandchildren in her neighborhood.
She was always happy and laughing and had a smile for everyone. She was very giving and always done what she could for her family. She enjoyed being with family more than anything, family gatherings especially. She loved her job and working with children and the children loved her just as much. She was very dedicated to her work and her family.
She loved to bake and was often asked by the community to make baked goods (frybread, fresh baked bread). She enjoyed attending powwows and loved bingo nights.
She is survived by children, Crystal Eagle of Roswell, N.M., Dawn FollowsTheRoad of Helena, Glenna Eagle-Reddoor of Poplar, Autumn Reed of Poplar, Karrie Martin of Poplar and Staetin Eagle of Poplar; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and siblings, Paul St. Germaine of Hardin, Sally Uherka of Crocker, Mo., Marion Plentyhawk of Poplar, Kenneth Eagle of Alabama, Vanetta Eagle, Vanessa Eagle and Jumbo Eagle, all of Poplar, Harold Eagle of Denver, Colo., and Loretta Eagle of Poplar.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Rena Eagle and Iris Eagle-St. Germaine; and great-granddaughter, Evelyn Eagle.
Private services were held Sunday, Oct. 11, at Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel was been entrusted with the arrangements.
