Graveside services for Delores Engelke will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, 2020, at the Big Lake Cemetery near Homestead, Mont., with Pastor Tim Hutslar officiating.

Delores Jean Engelke, 89, of Froid passed away Oct. 15, 2020, at the Wibaux County Nursing Home in Wibaux, Mont. Delores Jean (Rohrbocker) Engelke was born in Madrid, Neb., on May 6, 1931, to Roy and Nona Rohrbocker. She had one sister, Roberta. Delores attended grade school in Madrid, Neb., and then moved to Denver, Colo., where she graduated high school in 1949. She then worked at the Federal Reserve Bank until the spring of 1954.

Delores and Charles Engelke were married in Denver on Oct. 16, 1953. In March 1954, they moved back to Montana to farm. On Aug. 4, 1955, they had a daughter, Connie, and on Dec. 21, 1956, son Donald was born.

Delores loved to spend time in her yard, gardening and fishing. She also enjoyed going on the wagon train.

Charles and Delores lived in Froid until the fall of 2017. Delores then lived at the Country House in Dickinson, N.D., until March 2020. She then moved to the Wibaux County Nursing Home until she passed away.

Delores is survived by her grandson, Justin (Sadie) Bracken; granddaughter, Kristin (Lucas) Miller; great-grandchildren, Kayden and Karson Bracken; Charlotte and Ella Miller and Tristan Labatte.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Engelke; daughter, Connie Bracken; son, Donald Engelke; grandson, Dusty Engelke; sister, Roberta Lee; and her parents Roy and Nona Rohrbocker.
