Gerald “Jerry” C. Hagadone, 88, died Oct. 10, 2020, at Central Wyoming Hospice and Transitions in Casper, Wyo.

He was born on Sept. 20, 1932, to Thorwald and Helen Hagadone in Culbertson. The family lived just outside of Poplar, where Jerry met Joan Norgaard. They married Nov. 22, 1954. He worked in the oil industry, starting with drilling rigs then moved into the production side. He became a foreman for Murphy Oil, where he worked for 39 years before retiring.

He and Joan loved to fish and camp with their many family and friends. He loved to work on old cars and his jeep over the years. He enjoyed going with Joan to all the children’s, grandchildren’s and great-grandchildren’s sporting activities.

They moved to Forsyth in 2012, where they were able to watch their youngest grandchildren grow through high school.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Joan Hagadone; brothers, Ronald, Raymond and infant brothers Thorwald Jr. and James; and sisters, Lois Combs and Beverly Maddox.

He is survived by his sisters, Shirley O’Brien and Janet Shanks; daughter, Vickie Anderson; sons, Nick Hagadone and Rusty Hagadone; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, Oct. 24, at the Forsyth Cemetery. A celebration of live will be held following the graveside service at the Forsyth Country Club.
