The Culbertson Cowboys ended their football season with a 50-12 loss at Scobey on Thursday, Oct. 22. Scobey led by a 36-0 half-time advantage. “We played hard. It was nice and cold there,” Culbertson coach Brian Manning said. “They fought through the whole game.”

Scoring touchdowns on runs for the Cowboys were quarterback Payton Perkins and sophomore Kobe Nickoloff. James Kirkaldie had a couple of receptions.

Down by a 6-0 score, the Cowboys moved into scoring position on a halfback pass from Nickoloff to Kirkaldie that was good for 38 yards. In the red zone, the Cowboys fumbled the ball and Scobey returned it for a touchdown the other way.

“It kind of summed up our season,” Manning said.

Defensively, junior Aiden Perkins put together a solid game. He registered two quarterback sacks and forced a couple of fumbles.
