National Honor Society Induction Held

Many of Wolf Point High School outstanding students were recognized at the National Honor Society’s induction ceremony on Monday, Oct. 26.

Jeff Harada, Wolf Point’s chief of police, served as the program’s keynote speaker. He earned National Honor Society status when he attended Wolf Point High School.

Harada listed some well-known National Honor Society members through the country. There are chapters in every state. Many members completed thousands of community service hours. Projects include food and blood drives.

He stressed to students that people don’t forget the way that you make them feel.

He thanked family members for their important roles in students’ lives and their enduring love of the children. “It’s important to recognize the impact you had on these students.”

Pillars of the National Honor Society include Character, Scholarship, Service and Leadership.

“I’m proud of each and every one of you,” Harada told the students.

He explained they aren’t only an important part of the school environment but also the community and for their peers. He said they are truly role models and change agents.

“Do the right things for the right reasons,” Harada said. “You are a deserving group of students and will do great things.”

Leslie Larson is the advisor for Wolf Point’s chapter. Students are Sofie Rasmussen, Emily Kinzie, Demi Kegley, Hailey Nelson, Gracie Ferdina, Jewel Olson, Joy Wolff, Doriane Keiser, Parker Swenson, Kaholo Toves, Jodi Niebel, Jocelyn Russell, Angelena Welch, Angelica Sutton and Lane Gilbertson.
