Independence Bank is pleased to announce that Jedd Lekvold has been promoted to senior loan officer - assistant vice president of ag lending. Lekvold joined the Bank in 2007 as a lender and has spent the past 13 years working in our Scobey and Poplar branches.

In his new position, Lekvold will work closely with the chief lending officer and Independence Bank ag lenders through our branches in Conrad, Malta, Glasgow, Scobey, Poplar, Havre and Great Falls LPO/DPO. Lekvold will provide expertise in our FSA Guaranteed lending portfolio, cash flow and balance sheet analysis, while working closely with crop insurance and government payment programs.

“We are very pleased to see Jedd move into this next phase of his career with Independence Bank,” said Bill Keller, executive vice president and chief credit officer. “Jedd is well versed in the ag industry and will provide a valuable service to our customers and employees while promoting the bank’s ag products.”

Lekvold was born and raised in Scobey. After graduating from Scobey High School, he attended Montana State University - Billings. He received a Bachelor of science degree in business administration with a finance option in 2003.

Lekvold has been actively involved in the community since being back in Scobey. He has served and been part of boards for the local baseball organization, SAFI, the Daniels County Chamber of Commerce, the hospital foundation and the hospital. He has also dedicated much of his free time to coaching youth and high school sports over the years. Lekvold and his wife, Kiki, have four children: daughters Gracee and Claire, and sons Blake and Nate.
