Vaccine At RMC
Jim Wix (left) was the first frontline staff member at Roosevelt Medical Center to receive the COVID-19 vaccine on Dec. 31, 2020. Mandy Byrd, clinic coordinator, will continue administering the vaccine throughout the week to frontline staff members and long-term-care residents. The facility received a total of 40 doses of the vaccine during the first phase of the allocation process. Currently, the vaccine is only available for healthcare workers and long-term-care residents. As the phasing process continues at the state and local level, it may become available to the public in late spring or summer.
