Red Hawks Lose Game Against Plentywood Girls
Despite a strong start, Froid/Lake fell short against Plentywood, 47-40, during girls’ basketball play in Medicine Lake on Thursday, Jan. 7.
The Red Hawks struck for the last eight points of the opening quarter on two three-pointers by Baylee Davidson and a basket by Sydney Dethman for a 16-6 lead.
Plentywood closed the margin to 19-18 late in the half, but hoops by Dethman and Meg Ator put the Red Hawks up 23-20 at intermission.
The Wildcats accounted for the last five points of the third quarter to move ahead 31-27.
A three-pointer by Dethman pulled Froid/Lake to 31-30 during the fourth quarter’s opening minute, but Plentywood earned a 41-33 lead.
Dethman accounted for 21 of the Red Hawks’ points. Davidson and Carolyne Christoffersen added eight points each. Also scoring were Ator with two and Dasani Nesbit with one.
