Bushman Feels Wrestling Program Improves His Life

Wolf Point High School senior Josh Bushman feels that being a part of the Wolves’ wrestling program has been very beneficial to him.
“I like how it pushes me and helps me lose weight.” Bushman said of being a wrestler.
He adds that he really appreciates his coaches and teammates.
“Wrestling makes me tougher and pushes me to have better grades,” Bushman said. “I also get to meet a lot of new people at wrestling matches.”
Besides athletics, Bushman holds leadership positions with other organizations. He is the president of Wolf People and vice chair of the NDO youth council. He’s been a member of NDO for three years.
“It was through a friend,” Bushman said of how he joined the group. “They told me about it and it sounded like fun.”
Bushman has been a member of both the football and track teams for two years. In track, he competes in the discus, shot put and javelin.
His favorite teacher is Tiffani Darby.
“She pushes me to get my work done the most,” Bushman said. “She’s the nicest about it. She helps all students.”
His favorite class is cardio.
Bushman plans to attend Montana State University Billings and is interested in the military program.
He’s glad that he attends Wolf Point High School and that he’s from this community.
“I wouldn’t want to grow up anywhere more than this reservation and Wolf Point and this school,” Bushman said.
