Poplar Girls Lose To Malta, Glasgow
Poplar’s girls’ basketball team lost in conference action at home against Malta and Glasgow during the weekend.
The Indians fell to Malta by a 61-15 final Friday, Jan. 15.
Malta earned a 25-4 lead in the first quarter and increased the gap to 48-5 at the half.
“We just didn’t get our offense going and the girls didn’t come together,” Poplar coach Teri Christian said.
Poplar lost by a 58-35 margin against Glasgow Saturday, Jan. 16.
Glasgow took leads of 15-7 in the first quarter and 32-19 at intermission.
“We were right there, but couldn’t get our offense going,” Christian said.
The Indians will host the Wolf Point Wolves on Friday, Jan. 22, and Harlem on Saturday, Jan. 23.
