MMIP Task Force Bill Passes Montana Senate

Senate Bill 4, sponsored by Senator Jason Small, passed the Montana Senate on a vote of 43-7 Jan. 21. The bill would extend the Missing and Murdered Indigenous People Task Force for another two years.
Western Native Voice’s political director Keaton Sunchild stated, “Senate Bill 4 passing the Senate is a great first step towards continuing the hard work of bringing our missing brothers and sisters home. The MMIP task force has been a proven way of starting to make real progress here in Montana and I look forward to working with the members of the House to ensure this bill passes.”
