The Roosevelt County Commissioners held their regular meeting Tuesday, Jan. 26. Commissioners Gordon Oelkers, Gary Macdonald and Duane Nygaard were in attendance. Bill Juve and Clay Peterson attended the meeting remotely.

The commissioners approved an updated 10-year management plan for the Weed district. Department head Clay Peterson said the main changes were in the state’s list of noxious weed laws. He described the document as a “work in progress.”

A weed district request for the purchase of a Kubota via a Bobcat trade-in was tabled.

The commissioners approved the treasurer’s report on investments and pledged securities for Dec. 31. Claims for Jan. 21 in the amount of $124,488.11 were approved, as were minutes for the Jan. 12 meeting.
